I’ve managed all sorts of corporate and commercial matters—led legal teams, drafted playbooks and templates, handled board meetings and securities filings, managed M&A transactions and more. My focus: keeping legal and governance matters simple, efficient and business friendly.

Meet Heather Asher

Heather is a seasoned legal executive and former General Counsel recognized for her expertise in negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts. She has over 15 years of legal experience, including eight years as a senior in-house lawyer at several technology companies and six years at a global law firm.

She has led legal teams in drafting playbooks, templates, and policies, while overseeing corporate governance functions including board meetings, securities filings, and stockholder relations. Heather has successfully negotiated high‑value agreements across software licensing, consulting, recruiting, marketing, and professional services, consistently aligning legal outcomes with business objectives.

Her expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, and securities matters, serving as Corporate Secretary for companies on the NASDAQ, OTC and TSX markets. She has also guided companies through bankruptcy and distressed vendor/customer negotiations, facilitating sales and financial agreements.

Heather lives in Atlanta with her husband and two kids (tween and teen). She serves as a Girl Scouts troop leader and school room parent. On the weekends you can find her running around Georgia (and sometimes other states) on soccer mom duty. In her free time Heather enjoys kayaking and rock climbing. Just kidding. During the 30 minutes of free time she has each week, Heather enjoys watching Hallmark Christmas movies under a blanket and playing Block Blast on her phone.

I worked with Heather as a Director and found her to be highly  organized, focused on solutions, and a quick study in new areas of law  and governance practices.  She was admired by myself and my co-directors  for her legal, interpersonal and business skills. She contributed in  many ways to the success of our business.
