Our Founder
Heather Asher founded Extended Counsel after working inside companies and seeing the same problem from different angles: businesses often wait too long to build the legal systems they need.
As a former General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Heather has worked with CEOs, CFOs, boards, sales teams, operations teams, and legal departments. She brings practical in-house judgment to the legal issues that show up in real business decisions.
Her work is shaped by more than 15 years of legal experience, including senior in-house roles, law firm experience, commercial contracts, corporate governance, M&A matters, and legal team leadership. And yes, she went to Harvard Law, but she would say her practical experience and the results she delivers are far more important than any credentials.
