Heather Asher

Heather Asher is a seasoned legal executive and former General Counsel with more than 15 years of legal experience. Her background includes eight years as a senior in-house lawyer at several technology companies and six years at a global law firm. She is especially experienced in complex commercial and technology contracts.

Heather has led legal teams, drafted playbooks, created templates and policies, and overseen corporate governance functions, including board meetings, securities filings, and stockholder relations. She has negotiated high-value agreements across software licensing, consulting, recruiting, marketing, and professional services, with a focus on legal outcomes that work for the business.

Her experience also includes mergers and acquisitions, strategic transactions, and securities matters. She has served as Corporate Secretary for companies on the NASDAQ, OTC, and TSX markets. Heather has also advised companies through bankruptcy and distressed vendor and customer negotiations, including sales and financial agreements.

Heather lives in Atlanta with her husband and two kids, a tween and a teen. She serves as a Girl Scouts troop leader and school room parent. On the weekends, you can usually find her running around Georgia, and sometimes other states, on soccer mom duty. In her free time, Heather enjoys kayaking and rock climbing. Wouldn’t that be nice? Actually, during the 30 minutes of free time she has each week, Heather enjoys watching Hallmark Christmas movies under a blanket and playing Block Blast on her phone.
